Re-opening of our Distillery Door

We are thrilled to announce the re-opening of our Distillery Door!

From 5th June, we will be operating in a limited capacity for table service only, where tasting experiences, cocktails, and food will be available to small groups of up to 6 people.

As the serving of food is currently mandatory in all licenced venues, cocktails and tastings are only available alongside the purchase of one of our delicious Bass & Flinders Distiller’s Lunch Boxes. These boxes are a substantial serve and we consider them to be the equivalent of a meal.

Friday - Sunday, 11am - 6pm, with four daily time slots (each 1.5 hours duration) to choose from:

  • 11am-12:30pm
  • 12:45–2:15pm
  • 2:30-4:00pm
  • 4:15-5:45pm

A Distiller’s Lunch Box - $27 per box per person - must be pre-ordered at the time of booking, with a Vegetarian version and a Gluten Free* version ($29*) also available.

Experiences available for pre-order in conjunction with a Distiller’s Lunch Box include:

  • $22 Gin Paddle (equivalent of 2 standard drinks)
  • $12 Tasting (a selection of 5 gins, equivalent of 1.2 standard drinks)
  • $35 Taste and Tour (equivalent of 1.5 standard drinks, min 2 max 6 people per tour and may include other small groups). Tours take 40mins approx and we will be running one per session.

Our cocktail menu is also available.

In keeping with current regulations, we have a maximum seating capacity of 20 patrons in our bar area, so pre-bookings are essential and we require a $20 deposit per head in advance of your booking. Please note deposits are non-refundable if a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of taking place.

To make bookings please contact via phone on (03) 5989 3154 or email us.

We have implemented measures to keep staff and visitors safe at all times, which align with the Victorian Government regulations currently in place.

On arrival, visitors will be greeted and screened by our friendly staff and offered our very own hand sanitiser upon entry. As required by the Victorian Government, we will be recording each visitor’s name, phone number and visit time in the event that these details are required for contact tracing. This information will be kept securely for 28 days.

In order to allow for a complete clean and reset of the distillery door facility between each sitting, we ask that all customers please respect their allocated time and we ask for prompt arrivals and departures.

We are so excited to be re-opening and look forward to welcoming you to our Distillery Door. But please remember, if you have even mild symptoms of illness, we ask that you respect the health and safety of others by staying at home.

We, of course, will continue to supply you with premium grape-based spirits, liqueurs and brandy via our takeaway bottle sales - open 11am-5pm every day, from our roller door (entrance via 40 Collins Road).

We have been busy producing hand sanitiser to have an immediate impact and help our local community. We have now launched our very own hand sanitiser, follow the link to purchase some today.  Please note purchases are limited to 1 pack (200ml spray bottle + 500ml refill) per person.

We now offer a number of in-home experiences that you can order online from the comfort of your own couch, to help you replicate our bar tasting experiences at home.

Try any number of these, on your own, with your partner, family, housemates or even friends via Zoom!

Please be advised that all upcoming Masterclasses have been postponed until further notice. For all masterclass enquiries please email Gemma.

Gin Masterclass gift vouchers are redeemable against one of our At Home Gin Masterclass Kits with Native Botanicals.

From the Bass & Flinders family to yours, thank you for your continued support.
